Duck hunting with decoys
A duck decoy is a man-made object resembling a real duck with the purpose of attracting seabirds. Duck decoys were historically carved from wood and often exhibit a great craftsmanship. They could however be made from a wide range of materials such as textiles and feathers. Live – trapped – birds are also known to have been used as decoys. Modern decoys are commonly factory made from plastic.
