Welcome to Halland’s Cultural History Museum
Halland’s Cultural History Museum shows art and cultural history from prehistory to the present. Based in Halland, we tell about people who have lived and worked in the landscape and what traces they have left behind. The exhibitions show objects from the museum’s collections which, among other things, have one of northern Europe’s most spectacular finds – the Bocksten man. The museum also displays contemporary exhibitions that are important both regionally and globally.
Here you can also enjoy a cup of coffee in a unique setting overlooking the Kattegat. The fortress dates from the 14th century, but is in its current form from the 17th century, when Halland became Swedish.
